Anderlecht looking to sign exciting Japanese teenager

Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Anderlecht are in talks to sign Japanese teenager Keisuke Gotõ. The 18-year-old recently played in the second tier of Japanese football, where he has scored seven goals and provided one assist in 33 games for Júbilo Iwata. Tavolieri is reporting that Anderlecht want to get the deal done as soon as possible so that the visa process can be started. The idea is to initially play Gotõ in the sides second team, Anderlecht Futures, who are currently competing in the second tier of Belgian football.

Gotõ is a tall striker who has been capped at youth level by Japan. His contract expires in 2027 and he only made his first team debut during the 2023 season. The teenagers club Júbilo Iwata won promotion to the J League after finishing second behind Machida Zelvia. This means that they have made an immediate return after being relegated from the top tier of Japanese football in 2022.
