Anderlecht looking to sign Alexis Flips

Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Anderlecht have offered a contract to winger Alexis Flips. The 23-year-old Stade Reims winger currently has just one year left on his contract at the French side and is valued at around €6m by Transfermarkt. Anderlecht have been searching for a wide player who can also play in a central attacking midfield all summer, with Flips the latest and most concrete of those linked.

Flips played 33 Ligue 1 games last season, scoring four goals and providing six assists. He mainly operated as a left winger, but can play on either wing or in behind a main striker. Flips has also played for Lille B and AJ Ajaccio. In 65 games for his current club Stade Reims, the winger has scored nine goals and provided 10 assists.

Anderlecht got their first win of the season at the weekend, beating last seasons champions Antwerp. Kasper Dolberg scored the only goal of the game from the spot, which was also his first goal for the side since joining from Nice in the summer.
