Anderlecht look to former OH Leuven striker to replace PSV bound Fabio Silva

Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Anderlecht are looking to replace departing top scorer Fabio Silva with former OH Leuven striker Thomas Henry. The French striker left Belgium for Venezia in Serie A, before moving to Hellas Verona in the summer. Like with Venezia, the striker is again involved in a relegation battle in the Italian first tier. The 28 year-old striker has scored two league goals in 15 games this season.

During the 2020/2021 season with OH Leuven, the striker scored an impressive 21 goals in 31 games, as well as providing five assists.

Anderlecht are poised to lose their current top scorer Fabio Silva, on loan from Wolves, with the striker likely to move across the border to PSV Eindhoven. The club has already seen one departure, with young prospect Anouar Ait El Hadj joining leaders Genk.

Following a 3-2 defeat at home to Zulte Waregem, head coach Brian Riemer admitted that although unlikely, the club cannot rule out relegation this season.
