Anderlecht linked to talented 6’3 Croatian striker Dion Drena Beljo of NK Osijek

According to HLN, Anderlecht are interested in bringing in Dion Drena Beljo, the 20 year-old striker from NK Osijek in Croatia. The tall striker is predicted to cost the club around 5 million euros. Recruitment director Dries Belaen was spotted at a recent fixture between Osijek and Dinamo Zagreb. Anderlecht appear to have been interested in bringing Beljo in during the summer, having had a four million euro offer rejected. Beljo is under contract with Osijek until 2025.

The tall striker has scored 7 goals in 16 matches so far this season, whilst also providing two assists. Beljo spent last season on loan with NK Istra, where he scored 20 goals in all competitions. Beljo has been capped 5 times by the Croatian under 21’s, scoring once.

Anderlecht’s current top scorer is Fabio Silva, on loan from Wolves, with 6 goals. Last season Anderlecht were reliant on Joshua Zirkzee and Christian Kouame, both of whom were on loan and returned to their parent clubs. The club were interested in bringing Zirkzee back to the club, but he was ultimately sold to Bologna in Serie A.
