Anderlecht fans plan protest during KV Mechelen clash

During this weekends Anderlecht v KV Mechelen game the away fans are planning to stage a protest. The Anderlecht Ultras group and The Fanboard have stated that they will not enter the stadium during the first 12 minutes of the game, a reference to the importance of the 12th man for the club.

As reported by Sporza, the statement released by the Fanboard and the Ultras stated “We certainly also want to make the players aware that they must bring more experience, more commitment, passion and drive, the pride of wearing the jersey of our beloved club is hard to find with some”.

Anderlecht currently sit in 10th place in the Pro League with four wins from ten matches, and just one win in their last five. Under pressure manager Felice Mazzu spoke of his confidence in the team to turn it around ahead of their midweek Europa Conference League tie with West Ham, which they lost 1-0.
