Anderlecht and Union St Gilloise interested in BK Häcken’s Ivorian star Benie Traore

Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Anderlecht and Union St Gilloise are interested in BK Häcken’s Ivorian star Bennie Traore. The 20-year-old Ivorian forward has scored 10 goals in 11 games for the defending Swedish champions this season, while also providing three assists. Since joining the Gothenburg side in 2020, Traore has played 55 games and scored 23 goals.

Traore has a contract at the club until 2026 and is, according to Transfermarkt, valued at €1m. Anderlecht reported bid €2m plus €1m in bonuses, but this has not been confirmed and it appears that Häcken are willing to hold out to see if they get a better offer.

He began his career with the Cote d’Ivoire’s most prestigious club in ASEC Mimosas, the side known for producing some of the best Ivorian footballers. Yaya Toure and Kolo Toure both came through the academy, with the former spending time in Belgium during his younger days.
