Alfred Schreuder has ‘zero interest’ in Stuttgart job

Alfred Schreuder says he has “zero interest” in becoming the new Stuttgart manager with the German club said to be interested in him.

Reports emerged earlier this week that in their search for a manager, Stuttgart had picked out the Ajax boss as one of their final two candidates.

However, with him only recently taking over at the Dutch club, it always seemed highly unlikely that he’d be interested in leaving to go elsewhere so soon.

He’s now confirmed that that is indeed the case with him intending to stay put.

“Yes, I read that too,” he said when asked about reports that Stuttgart wanted him.

“I might have been on a list, but I am the trainer of a very nice club: Ajax. I am enjoying it immensely.”

“Whether there is zero interest? True.”

Peter Bosz has also been linked to the Stuttgart job, but it looks unlikely that he’ll go there either.
