Alexander Blessin could replace Vincent Euvrard at newly promoted RWDM

LDH are reporting that Alexander Blessin could become the new head coach of recently promoted RWDM. However, they currently still have Vincent Euvrard under contract until 2025. The leaks come as it is expected that former Oostende CEO, Gauthier Ganaye, is set to take over in the same role at RWDM. During his time with Oostende, Ganaye worked with Blessin who led the side to fifth place.

However, since Blessin left the club, the project unraveled and the side were relegated this season. Ganaye came under criticism from the fans, with a focus on the lack of investment in the squad and the use of the club to help other teams within the Pacific Media Group project. Ganaye is no longer part of that group.

Blessin left Oostende to join Genoa, but the German did not last long being sacked after just under a year in charge. Genoa are part of the 777 group, who also own Standard Liege. Ironically, they are one of the clubs interested in appointing Euvrard as their new head coach should he leave RWDM. Standard are searching for a new head coach after the departure of Ronny Deila to Club Brugge.
