Ajax will be without Sutalo for a few weeks

Ajax will have to do without central defender Josip Sutalo for the coming weeks. The 25-year-old Croatian has picked up an ankle injury.

Last weekend, Sutalo was in the starting lineup for the friendly against Aarhus (1-1). The Amsterdam side were without Sutalo when they beat Greek side PAOK Saloniki 2-1 on Wednesday. Davy Klaassen was also absent from that match due to illness. New signing Raul Moro is not yet playing.

It’s unknown exactly how long Sutalo will be sidelined. The 26-cap Croatian international is starting his third season in Amsterdam. He has played 77 official matches for Ajax so far, scoring four times.
