According to VoetbalPrimeur and De Telegraaf, Ajax will sign Marvyn Muzungu (17) on a free transfer from AJ Auxerre.
The French defender has impressed the Amsterdam clubโs higher-ups and will undergo a medical examination soon.
โThe defender impressed policymakers during an internship in early Juneโ, writesย De Telegraaf. Muzungu went through the youth academy of FC Libourne before moving to Nimes in 2019. Four years later, the French talent left for Auxerre, where he developed quickly. Within a year, he moved up from the U17 side to the second team.โ
Muzungu has not yet made his debut in the Auxerre first team. His contract expired this summer at the French club, and now Ajax will take advantage of that. The Amsterdammers will sign the defender from Auxerre on a free transfer.
โThe paperwork is currently being sorted out, after which Muzunga can be assessedโ, report the paper.
