Ajax bring promising AZ Alkmaar prospect to Amsterdam

Ajax have continued their recent busy spell strengthening their youth academy. As per VoetbalPrimeur and Ajax Showtime, Charly van Oosterhout (15) has become the fifth new signing. The AZ star will leave the Alkmaarders’ academy next season to play in Amsterdam.

The young striker will join the U16 side from next term. This year Van Oosterhout played for AZ’s U15s, where he was very productive. In 28 matches, the target man scored 19 official goals. Van Oosterhout also regularly wore the captain’s armband. It is not yet known how long the contract in Amsterdam will last.

Director of football Marijn Beuker has been busy strengthening Ajax’s academy in recent weeks. Previously, Anass Moumane (AFC), Jeremayo Levant (Almere City) and Ky-An Martins (Sparta) were already signed for next season.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Roméo Garnier most recently signed in Amsterdam. The top French talent was coveted by many clubs, but he chose to sign with Ajax until the summer of 2028.
