Ajax technical director Alex Kroes has been receiving a lot of praise, as it was announced that the clubโs finances have improved faster than expected.

Looking at the transfer fees, the Amsterdam club acquired new players for a total of โฌ52 million. On the other hand, players were sold for over โฌ85 million.
The biggest financial victory this summer came from cleaning up the payroll. With the departure of surplus players and top earners Jordan Henderson and Brian Brobbey, a whopping โฌ22 million was saved on salaries.
On the other hand, the new signings earn less than โฌ10 million combined. Ajax thus made a profit of โฌ12 million on salaries. In addition, the income from qualifying for the Champions League also came in.
