Ajax have rejected a bid of €80 million for Antony from Manchester United.
The British club have been linked with the Brazilian winger throughout the transfer window with Erik ten Hag keen to take the player with from Amsterdam to Old Trafford.
Talk of such a move died down for a period after Man Utd were deterred by Antony’s current club putting a price tag of around €100 million on him.
However, it was reported yesterday that Ten Hag and co were preparing to up their efforts to pull off the transfer before the end of the month and that’s just what they’ve done.
David Ornstein of The Athletic has reported that a bid amounting to €80 million has been rejected by the Eredivisie champions, who are adamant they won’t let him go.
For them to change their stance, a bid exceeding €100 million would most likely have to be submitted.
