According to Voetbal International, Kristian Hlynsson is in his final days as an Ajax player. The Icelandic midfielder is reportedly on his way to FC Twente.
Hlynsson seemingly always had little prospect of playing time with the Ajax first team, yet still managed to turn heads during his loan period at Sparta Rotterdam. At Het Kasteel, the 21-year-old registered two goals and three assists in 14 Eredivisie appearances.
Due to this reasonable form, Twente will now buy out the Icelandic prospect’s contract. This still has a year to run. The transfer fee is so far unknown.
So far, the Danish-born Iceland international has four caps for Strákarnir okkar, having featured from U15 level.
