Ajax interested in bringing Roma’s Justin Kluivert back to the club

Ajax are considering bringing Justin Kluivert back to the club from Roma should they lose Antony to Manchester United.

Antony is currently pushing to leave for Man Utd, who have had a bid of €90m rejected by the Eredivisie champions but are expected to place another one before the end of the month.

Ajax’s initial plan was to replace him with Hakim Ziyech if he were to leave, but Chelsea’s high asking price and refusal to let him leave on loan are making that all but impossible.

As a result, they’ve started looking for other alternatives, and according to De Telegraaf, another former player of theirs is one of them, in the form of Roma’s Kluivert.

Kluivert has looked likely to leave the Italian club all summer, but despite reportedly being close to moving to Fulham, a transfer has yet to go through.

Ajax will be hoping that remains the case, with the Dutchman and compatriot Anwar El Ghazi the two players they’re considering signing in the event that Antony leaves.
