Ajax have found their new right-back, with Club America’s Jorge Sanchez set to officially join the club next week.
With Noussair Mazraoui leaving for Bayern Munich, the Amsterdam club entered the summer transfer window in need of a replacement.
That need only became higher when Devyne Rensch failed to impress in pre-season, and they’ve finally addressed it with Sanchez set to sign.
They were first linked with the Mexico international at the end of July, with reports stating that they were in talks to sign him for €5 million.
Things have clearly moved quickly since as Voetbal International are now reporting that a deal has been reached and the 24-year-old will be unveiled as an Ajax player next week.
He will most likely be the club’s final signing of the summer with no first-team players expected to leave.
