Ajax have agreed to sign Lucas Ocampos from Sevilla for a fee of around €20m.
With Antony leaving for Manchester United, the Amsterdam club have been on the hunt for a new right winger for the past few weeks.
Their initial plan was to bring back Hakim Ziyech, but Chelsea’s high asking price and unwillingness to let him leave on loan prevented that from happening.
After considering moves for Justin Kluivert and Anwar El Ghazi, they then turned their attention to Ocampos, and have now reached a deal to sign him, according to De Telegraaf.
They will pay the Spanish club around €20 to sign the 28-year-old and have apparently already agreed personal terms with him.
What those terms are exactly is unclear at the moment, but he will sign a multi-year contract with the Eredivisie champions.
Barring any further departures, it’s likely to be Ajax’s final signing of the summer.
