As per Voetbal International’s Tim van Duijn, Ajax are interested in Robin Roefs (22). The Nijmegen goalkeeper is high on the club’s wish list.
Ajax reportedly have several keepers on their list, including former Amsterdammers Jeffrey de Lange (Marseille) and Dominik Kotarski (PAOK). There have been talks with De Lange, although Kotarski seems too expensive. In the meantime, Ajax seem ‘very enthusiastic’ about Roefs.
NEC have set a minimum price of around six million for Roefs, and although that is apparently too much for Ajax, the club are not deterred and are still investigating the options to get him to the Johan Cruyff Arena. There has already been contact between Ajax and NEC.
Roefs is still contracted to NEC until 2028. He has already played 42 official matches there. The goalkeeper has also been included in the European Championship selection of Jong Oranje, which will travel to Slovakia in a week and a half for the final tournament.
