Afellay praises โ€˜really great playerโ€™ Antman: โ€˜If I were AZ, I would take him blindlyโ€™

Former Oranje and PSV star Ibrahim Afellay enjoyed Go Ahead Eaglesโ€™ performance this weekend and took particular notice of Oliver Antman.

Although the Deventer team eventually drew 2-2 against FC Utrecht, the former international was delighted with what he saw and predicts a transfer for the 23-year-old Finnish right winger.

โ€œWe could do a column about Go Ahead Eagles every week. Man, they play great footballโ€ฆโ€, Afellay began at Studio Voetbal. โ€œThey had so many chances. FC Utrecht were completely overrun. It was a miracle that it was only 2-0.โ€

The former Eindhoven and Barcelona player then examined Antmanโ€™s game. The Finn provided two assists in the opening phase, his thirteenth and fourteenth of the season.

โ€œThat Antman is reallyโ€ฆ I think the treasurer is rubbing his hands. Heโ€™s just going to make a great transfer at the end of the season.โ€

The 53-time international praises the Go Ahead attackerโ€™s decision-making and runs, among other things. โ€œThat boy is so smart. He is also technically skilled and has depth in his game. A truly great player. If I were AZ, I would take him blindly.โ€
