Adnan Januzaj turns down approach from Antwerp

Adnan Januzaj has turned down an approach from Antwerp, informing the club that he’s not interested in playing for them.

Januzaj is currently a free agent after failing to agree a new deal with Real Sociedad and has been linked with various clubs in this transfer window.

One such club has been Antwerp who, with Marc Overmars and Mark van Bommel joining as the Director of Football and manager respectively, have been undergoing something of a revolution.

Vincent Janssen and Toby Alderweireld have already been signed with Jurgen Ekkelenkamp set to follow, while Dries Mertens and Januzaj have also been linked with a move.

It now seems that the club will miss out on both though. Mertens looks likely to join Galatasaray, and Januzaj reportedly has no interest in returning to Belgium.

According to Belgian journalist, Sacha Tavolieri, the 27-year-old has spoken with officials at Antwerp and has informed them that he has no interest in making such a move.

Just where he will go is unclear, with no other sides reported to have offered him a deal yet.
