Club Brugge travel to Milan on Tuesday night hoping to give the home side a third defeat in this seasons Champions League. AC have lost both their opening games, one at home to Liverpool and the other away to Bayer Leverkusen. Understandably, the Italians will see Club Brugge as their best chance of finally getting some points on the board.
Club lost to Dortmund in their opening game, yet the result certainly flattered the German side with the Belgian’s having had plenty of chances to score throughout the first and second halves. They then dominated their next game against Sturm Graz and should have won by a more comfortable margin than 1-0.
At the weekend, Club ran out 2-1 winners over Westerlo. They will still be without striker Gustaf Nilsson for this clash, so head coach Nicky Hayen will pick between Feran Jutgla and Romeo Vermant, The latter started the weekends clash, while Jutgla had been the preferred option in Nilsson’s absence prior to the international break. Club currently sit in fourth place, seven points adrift of league leaders Genk.
Milan grabbed a 1-0 win at the weekend over Udinese despite playing over an hour with just 10 men. After eight games in Serie A they sit in fourth place, five points off of leaders Napoli.
