AC Milan showing strong interest in AZ Alkmaar midfielder Tijjani Reijnders who is valued at €18m by the Eredivisie club

AC Milan are interested in AZ Alkmaar’s Tijjani Reijnders, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. The Eredivisie club have placed an €18m price tag plus bonuses on the 24-year-old midfielder. AC Milan are expected to submit an offer.

Reijnders featured 54 times last season as AZ finished fourth in the Eredivisie and reached the semi-final of the Europa Conference league. The centre midfielder was part of the squad that knocked Serie A side Lazio out of the Conference League in the round of 16. Reijnders scored eight goals and provided 11 assists last season.

AZ have reportedly rejected offers for Reijnders from Premier League clubs and Sporting Lisbon. These offers were said to have been worth €14m plus bonuses. AC Milan are set to lose one of their main midfielders, Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United, which would leave an open slot in the squad for Tijjani Reijnders. He could be a brilliant signing for the Italian giants.
