Anderlecht join Luton Town in Samuel Ntanda pursuit

Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Anderlecht are interested in now former Sampdoria striker Samuel Ntanda. They are also reporting that recently promoted Luton Town are also showing interest in the teenager. He spent the majority of last season playing for the Italian sides youth set-up, but did make a Serie A appearance at the end of the season. With Sampdoria’s relegation, Ntanda did not sign a new deal with the club and is now a free agent. In 20 games for Sampdoria Primavera during the 2022/2023 season, the forward scored five goals. Ntanda can play out wide or as a striker.

Ironically, the 17-year-old began his career with Anderlecht, having been born in Brussels. In 2020 he departed to join the academy set-up at KV Mechelen, before a few months later he moved to Sint-Truiden’s academy. In the summer of 2022 he left Belgium to move to Italy. He has also been capped at U18 level by the Belgian national team.
